These Terms of Entry (“Terms“) govern participation in the Dream Seed Project (“Project“), operated by the Dream Seed Project Steering Committee (“Committee“).

By submitting an entry to the Project, you (“Applicant“) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.


Article 1. Eligibility

  1. The Project is open to applicants worldwide, regardless of nationality or place of residence.
  2. Applicants under 18 years of age must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian before submitting an entry.
  3. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Article 2. How to Enter

Entries must be submitted using the method designated by the Committee.

To enter, complete the following steps:

  • Post your story on social media using the hashtag #DreamSeed.
  • Submit the required information through the official application form.

The Committee reserves the right to modify the application process at any time without prior notice.


Article 3. Submitted Content

By submitting content to the Project, the Applicant represents and warrants that:

  • The submission is based on the Applicant’s own experience or is original content created by the Applicant.
  • The submission does not infringe upon the copyright, publicity rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.
  • The submission does not contain false or misleading information.
  • The submission complies with applicable laws and public policy.
  • The submission does not contain defamatory, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content directed toward any individual or organization.

Any dispute arising from submitted content shall be the sole responsibility of the Applicant.


Article 4. Use of Submitted Content

Copyright in submitted content remains with the Applicant.

However, by submitting content, the Applicant grants the Committee a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the submitted content for the following purposes:

  • The official Dream Seed Project website
  • Official Dream Seed social media channels
  • Events and exhibitions
  • Videos and multimedia content
  • Publications
  • Promotional and advertising materials
  • Other works related to the Project
  • Any other activities reasonably necessary for the operation and promotion of the Project

Such use includes, but is not limited to, publishing, exhibiting, screening, broadcasting, printing, translating (including translations into other languages), and editing for formatting, layout, or length, provided that the original meaning and intent of the submission are not materially altered.

Content will be published using the display option selected by the Applicant during the application process (Real Name, Social Media Username, or Anonymous).


Article 5. Dream Seed Winner

The Committee will select one or more Dream Seed Winners from among the submitted entries.

The Committee will not respond to inquiries regarding the judging criteria, selection process, or results.

All decisions made by the Committee are final and not subject to appeal.


Article 6. Prizes

Dream Seed Winners will receive prizes determined by the Committee.

The Committee reserves the right to change the prizes without prior notice.

If a winner fails to provide the required information within the specified period, the winner may forfeit the prize.

Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash.


Article 7. Prohibited Conduct

Applicants must not:

  • Submit false or misleading information.
  • Impersonate another person.
  • Use copyrighted material belonging to others without authorization.
  • Submit content that violates applicable laws or public policy.
  • Submit content that is defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, or otherwise infringes upon the rights of others.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Project.
  • Engage in any other conduct deemed inappropriate by the Committee.

If the Committee determines that an Applicant has violated these Terms, the Committee may invalidate the entry, remove published content, or take any other action it considers appropriate.


Article 8. Removal of Submitted Content

The Committee reserves the right to decline to publish, remove, or discontinue the use of submitted content if:

  • The Applicant violates these Terms.
  • A third party alleges infringement of rights or raises other legal claims.
  • The Committee determines that the content is inappropriate.
  • The Committee determines that removal is otherwise necessary for operational reasons.

Article 9. Disclaimer

The Committee shall not be liable for:

  • Failure to submit an entry due to internet connectivity issues or disruptions to social media platforms.
  • System failures involving Google Forms or other online services.
  • Shipping delays, shipping issues, or delivery failures.
  • Any damages suffered by applicants or third parties, except where caused by the Committee’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 10. Personal Information

Applicants’ personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy published separately by the Committee.


Article 11. Amendments to These Terms

The Committee reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

Any revisions shall become effective upon publication on the official Dream Seed Project website.


Article 12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Project shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan having jurisdiction over the Committee’s principal place of operation.
